24 (± 4) RFU for the non-detect and detect reference samples respectively. Only the referenced
35 ppb detect sample clearly corresponded to an instrument signal (29 RFU) above the
deployment average. These patterns point to the difficulty in the quantitative interpretation of
instrument signal responses in environments with variable ambient fluorescence properties.
