Customer Needs and Use Assessments (CNUA)

CNUA are used to assure that ACT is focused on the priority issues concerning specific technologies. All assessments include a survey of at least 50 coastal managers and researchers. The results are published in reports (see below) that are used to: (1) identify priority parameters and applications for ACT Technology Evaluations, (2) select ACT Workshop foci and questions, and (3) supplement specific ACT Workshop conclusions and recommendations. The assessments also provide valuable information for the broader coastal communities on what technology users want and on what users perceive as advantages and limitations to current technologies.
